If you’re not hungry for Katy Perry’s current Witness single, “Bon Appetit,” MUNA’s new remix will likely drum up your appetite. The queer LA-based trio, responsible for the breakout masterpiece About U, has drenched Perry’s song in dreamy, spaced-out synths evocative of their own ’80s-leaning sound.

They’ve also notably removed Migos’ guest verse, which many LGBTQ fans frowned upon Perry for including, after the rap group made homophobic remarks in Rolling Stone about openly gay rapper iLoveMakonnen. Intentional or not, MUNA’s decision to omit Migos speaks volumes about their values as a responsible, queer band today.

During Perry’s recent appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, she described “Bon Appetit” as “sexual liberation,” especially now that she’s embracing her thirties. “I love being a woman and I love a consensual interaction,” Perry continued. “There is nothing wrong with that. We’re all animals.”

Listen to MUNA’s fresh take on “Bon Appetit,” below.
